Yesterday, a story hit the net that alleged that Rihanna was going to appear in court to testify that Chris Brown has apologized for beating her and that Rihanna thinks the judge shouldn’t accuse Chris of violating his parole anymore.
Wait, what?! The girl, who is the victim in the case, is going to testify on behalf of her assaulter? Besides the fact that it makes literally no legal sense whatsoever, Chris Brown’s rep tells Hollyscoop that it’s totally NOT TRUE.
Rihanna is not going to court to testify in favor of Chris Brown. I repeat, Rihanna may still have lingering feelings for the dude, but she’s not getting mixed up in his probation case.
Yesterday’s report was cooked up by gossip bloggers after Rihanna tweeted prayers for Chris Brown as he headed back to court to make sure he was good for all his community service hours.
Rihanna did tweet, “@chrisbrown I’m praying for you and wishing u the best today!” but then RadarOnline and their trusty “sources” said Rihanna is so smitten with Chris that she’s going to march down to the courthouse and be like “he apologized for ruining my face!”
Here’s what the source said, “Rihanna has spoken to Chris since his progress reporting hearing on Monday afternoon and offered her continued support. Rihanna told Chris she would go to court on November 1 for his court appearance and tell Judge Patricia Schnegg that she shouldn't set a hearing to decide if he violated terms of his probation because he has accepted responsibility for his actions and has apologized to RiRi on multiple occasions.”
Of course we didn’t believe it and reached out to Chris’ rep who told us it's so not true.
