UPDATE:

False alarm everyone. Miranda Kerr was NOT fired from Victoria's Secret. Ed Razek, President and Chief marketing officer of VS just released this statement:

"Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business – and easily one of the most popular. She is also a consummate professional. Any rumors to the contrary are simply untrue,” Ed said. “While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we’d like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me. We have no plans to stop working with her. In fact, I’ve already invited her to walk the runway in this year’s fashion show and, happily, she’s agreed"

ORIGINAL STORY:

Quick: Name the first Victoria's Secret Angel you can think of!

Did you automatically say "Miranda Kerr?" Sorry, then you're wrong. Because, as of about four seconds ago, Miranda is no longer considered a Victoria's Secret Angel. Oh my heavens, sacrilege!

Her wings have been revoked. Her contract with the lingerie retailer "was not renewed." This is basically hell on Earth for a VS model.

Multiple sources have confirmed this shake-up in Victoria's Secret's closet to Us Weekly. The 30-year-old Australian supermodel's $1 million, three-year contract is up and now she's being escorted out of the pearly gates.

One source said that the gods up in the VS boardroom clipped her wings because she's kind of a devil to work with. Miranda "has a difficult reputation," the first source said.

But it's apparently financial too. Another source claimed that she's "not a big seller for Victoria's Secret" in comparison to co-Angels Candice Swanepoel and Alessandra Ambrosio.

You can stop spending the rest of your morning praying though because there's good news: "They can still use her for catalogues," the first source added. "She will get a day rate, but she doesn't have to be an Angel to do that."

The Chief Marketing Officer for the label, Ed Razek didn't confirm whether the contract was renewed or not. However, he did say they "have no plans to stop working with her." Matter-of-fact, he's already invited Miranda to walk the 2013 runway show. Hallelujah!
