Miley Cyrus’ relationship with her father Billy Ray Cyrus is unbreakable, even after the most intense twerking.
Following the most-talked-and-written-about moment from the VMAs on Sunday, Billy Ray has finally spoken about his daughter's provocative performance.
“Of course I’ll always be here for Miley,” Billy told "Entertainment Tonight." “Can’t wait [to] see her when she gets home. She’s still my little girl and I’m still her dad regardless how this circus we call show business plays out. I love her unconditionally and that will never change.”
Miley and Billy have been through a few rough patches over the years. In 2011, the daughter and father co-stars were briefly estranged from one another. He told GQ in their February 2011 issue, “I’m scared for her…She’s got a lot of people around her that’s putting her in a great deal of danger. I know she’s 18, but I still feel like as her daddy I’d like to try to help…Stop the insanity for just a minute.”
After her spectacle at the VMAs, he’s since changed his tune, sounding like he trusts his daughter more as she flaunts her post-Disney image.
