How big of a Michael Jackson fan are you? Went to all his shows? Can quote any song lyric? But would you be willing to purchase the home that Michael Jackson died in!? Creepy or awesome?
The home Michael Jackson died in has finally attracted a buyer, after nearly three years struggling to find a bid.
The home was listed at $23.9 million but TMZ has learned that an unnamed L.A. businessman has placed an offer for around $17 million for the Holmby Hills estate.
However, it’s not a done deal yet, the current owners is trying to see if they can get a higher offer.
Apparently, the interested businessman isn’t a Michael fan and doesn’t give a sh*t that the gloved one died in the home. He just likes giant houses.
Fun fact: The realtor who listed the home is Mauricio Umansky, the hot husband of Kyle Richards from “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
Not to be weird, or anything, but speaking of celebrity death homes…. Amy Winehouses’s old pad is also on the market.
Amy’s parents have deemed it “inappropriate” to continue living there, so they’ve put her London home on the market for about $4 million.
The property is described as a “substantial and impressive three doubled bedroom, three reception room semi-detached period villa with well-proportioned private front and rear gardens.”
Like the Holmby Hills estate that housed MJ before his death, the house hasn’t been sold yet, maybe people are still too spooked to move into a home where someone died?
Brittany Murphy’s old home sold in July 2011 for $2.7 million, nearly two years after she passed away there and for almost a million less than what she paid for it. Brittany's husband, Simon Monjack, passed away in the same home just five months after his wife. Murphy’s mother was convinced that the home was laced with killer mold, I hope the new owner got the green stuff under control.
And just last week, The Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson bought Heath Ledger’s old home for $3 million. Heath didn’t pass away in the home and it’s a sweet pad. The place was dubbed the “Tree House” because it is surrounded by trees and features windowed walls.
