Lindsay Lohan’s so-called comeback film The Canyons has finally premiered…do you want to hear how bad it is?
We could have guessed that the movie was going to suck as soon as you said “low-budget,” “Lindsay Lohan” and “won't play in theaters,” but now the critics have spoken and apparently Lindsay's performance is PRETTY TERRIBLE.
To save you time, we’ve compiled all of Lindsay’s best reviews, and by “best” we mean “worst.”
“Lindsay’s performance is certainly terrible, but her steady slide started long ago.” – Indiewire
“Lohan…comes off OK but unexceptionally. The Canyons is a lame, one-dimensional and ultimately dreary look at peripheral Hollywood types not worth anyone’s time either onscreen or in real life.” - The Hollywood Reporter
“In this movie [Lindsay’s] puffy and overwrought and unfocused, and she weeps a lot. At times, needy and confused, she’s touching, but you’re not sure whether she’s crying in character, or lamenting her participation in a low-budget movie, or grieving over her own troubles.” – The New Yorker
“Lohan (who hasn’t carried a hit since 2005’s Herbie: Fully Loaded) is more than believable, but neither the script nor her performance quite explains the fatal attraction that Tara seems to exert.” – Screen Daily
