"A Kardashian who?"
"A Kardashian starring in the next Judd Apatow movie!"
That's a great little joke! Almost as good as that joke Kim told to Kris Humphries on their wedding day. What was the punchline again? That's right: "I do."
Anyway, LOL, I am dying right now—oh, wait…you weren't kidding?!
It turns out a Kardashian being cast in the next Judd-penned screenplay is more likely than not.
At the 18th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards in Santa Monica, Hollyscoop asked the writer-director if he would ever cast a Kardashian in one of his movies. The funny man responded favorably. "I'd have anybody in any of my movies if they were right for something, so sure, yeah."
Of course, the Kardashians are only good at acting if it involves pretending to be a Kardashian, so Judd would have to quite literally write the limited range of a Kardashian role into his next film in order for it to happen. Like much of his work, Judd will typically include a celeb or two to portray themselves in his comedies, so this isn't complete fiction.
The thought of an Apatow-Kardashian collaboration was inspired by his daughter Maude's deleted scene from This Is 40, uploaded to Funny or Die, which shows the young actress doing her best Kardashian impression.
"I'm very proud of her, she's super funny," Judd says, praising his eldest daughter. "I wanted to put it up for a while and she kept saying, 'No, no, I don't want to make the Kardashians mad.' I'm like, 'But it's so nice, it's funny,' and she's like, 'Okay,' and she got retweeted by two Kardashians."
And apparently the Kardashians have a sense of humor about it all. "We got a Kim Kardashian retweet," Judd says. "I've never gotten one of those!"
