Of all the talent in Hollywood, they had to go with a Kardashian…
Kholoe Kardashian is reportedly at the top of the list when it comes to choosing a host for FOX’s “The X Factor.” If chosen, Khloe would be the first member from the K-family clan to star on a network television show.
TMZ reports that the higher ups are extremely close to making a final decision about the hosting spot and, above all the other names that have tried out for the spot, Khloe remains their first pick.
“There’s at least an 85% chance she’ll get the job,” a source told TMZ.
The news just goes to show you that mama is stepping up now that Lamar’s NBA career has hit a rough patch.
Sources connected with the show tell TMZ that Khloe is the best for the job out of all the women who were considered. In fact, no other potential host could rival Britney Spears’ mindless babble quite as impressively as the 28-year-old K-sister.
Khloe has done a screen test for the show, and reportedly passed with flying colors. Producers also like her appeal to the younger crowd they seem to be fishing for with the additions of Britney and Demi Lovato.
The Kardashian has been a rumored potential for the role for a while now, but never with such force.
If Khloe earns the host spot, a male counterpart to help host Season 2 will likely join her. Cowell has so far been adamant in wanting to implement the two-host structure that he initially intended for “American Idol.”
“I want to work with a boy and girl and I definitely think this is a role for two people,” Cowell previously told Entertainment Weekly.
Male names currently being thrown around include Mario Lopez, BET’s Rocsi Diaz, and radio personality Michael Catherwood.
The new season of “The X Factor” starts next week. The judges spot won’t be applied for another month when live shows begin.
