The world’s most watched baby bump attached to a woman named Kate Middleton is not shying away from the spotlight these sunny days.
It’s just out there, asking to be touched now, eclipsing the celebrity of its host Duchess, a primordial being sculpting its own enchanting identity, which is just begging to be blogged about by everyone.
Do fetuses have Twitter yet? Because we must know every half-formed 140-character thought it’s having. Seeing a celebrity’s baby bump gradually growing just isn’t enough in 2013.
Here’s what we do know about the bump so far: It has a formidable fashion sense. The bump stepped out in a printed Erdem dress while visiting the Willows Primary School in Manchester, England today; the royal zygote hasn’t even developed the blastulae to form anything resembling a jaw, yet it already knows how to pronounce “Erdem.”
It must also be subscribed to Vogue, because this bump is keeping up with spring trends—office florals are super in and hot right now.
This is just the latest in a series of very special sideways-hand-waving appearances by its mother Kate throughout the country. She recently made the rounds at the National Review of Queen’s Scouts at Windsor Castle this past weekend.
Expect to see more of this belly out and about this spring, culminating in a huge event, one to rival the size of its exterior: a Princess Cruises naming ceremony in Southampton in July, just weeks before the delivery.
