MTV to Recast Jersey Shore

What happens when your head gets too big to fit through a door? You lose your job that’s what.

MTV is reportedly planning on recasting Jersey Shore after the fifth season because the cast has become too famous and too expensive to keep on air.

"After this group comes back from Italy and shoots season 5 this summer, that will be the end for them,” a Jersey Shore producer tells Us Weekly.

The new stars will be "a lot cheaper" and producers won’t have to fight with each cast member about salary jumps.

They each make more than $100,000 an episode now and MTV knows they can find new cast members who are just as trashy and wild and pay them a thousand dollars an episode.

The source added that "They will leave on a high note!" They’ve all already gotten their own spin-off reality shows so what’s the point of having them on a million different reality shows? This isn’t the E! network where the Kardashians are on every single reality show.
