Forget the parties. After the show, Jennifer Lopez gets off stage to go play mom for her four-year-old twins, Emme and Max.
Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, the Puerto Rican duo Wisin Y Yandel announced a joint tour this summer with nearly 20 dates across the U.S. and Canada. The American Idol judge spoke with Hollyscoop about life as a single mom who’s also an international touring performer.
“They will be on the bus with me and it will be a learning experience for the both of us,” J.Lo told Hollyscoop at a press conference for the tour.
The tour will kick off on July 14 in Montreal, avoiding any conflict with the twins’ circle time school. Lopez is happy that she will be close with her children, but a little nervous, as it is their first time on the road together.
“I don't know how that it is all going to work. This is all my first time and I'm going to see,” said J.Lo.
As a back-up plan, Jennifer said that grandma’s house is always an option if the kids need a break from the cramped living of tour life.
The singer made no mention about how much time the kids would spend during the tour with former husband Marc Anthony, who she filed for divorce with last month.
But don’t think her family life is slowing her down.
Lopez said fans should look forward to what they have come to expect from her and Enrique’s performances on the new tour. The Latin superstar promises dance music and plenty of energy to get people moving.
“We are all out there to give you our hits, our heart and souls,” said J.Lo. “It’s going to be an amazing, amazing tour.”
