Did you miss Jennifer Lopez on “American Idol”? If you did, then this is some welcome news: the singer will be returning to the judges’ panel for the next season of the reality TV singing competition.
Oh, and Harry Connick Jr. will also be there. Keith Urban too…
ANYWAYS, so back to J.Lo. The 44-year-old international pop star is clearly the headliner of this brand new panel, now officially devoid of all its original members now that Randy Jackson has stepped off the stage (though his presence will still linger as a “mentor” on the series).
Kevin Reilly, the chairman of entertainment at Fox made this intro, “Jennifer Lopez, the triple-threat global superstar who loves and whom ‘Idol’ fans love,” announcing her return.
It’s reported that Jennifer will make as much as $17.5 million for the single season.
