That’s right. Apparently, these engaged jokers tricked friends into thinking they were getting hitched earlier this month.
At Justin Theroux’s 42nd birthday, which Jennifer Aniston planned and hosted in their $21 million mansion in L.A.’s Bel Air neighborhood, the two pulled a stunt that nearly took everyone’s breath away.
“We all gasped,” someone at the party told OK! magazine. “We truly thought this was it. That this was the big moment and they were going to marry right then and there, on the spot.”
“They turned to each other and Jen asked for Justin’s hand—I was about to faint,” the source added of the spectacle. “Then Jen said, ‘Justin, will you take me, Jennifer Aniston, to be your lawfully wedded…friend?’ She put the emphasis on ‘friend.’ We all cracked up.”
The soon-to-marry pair did have a motive, however. “This was a test run,” the source explained, “to see if Jen could pull off a small, private, secure party.”
And by all accounts, she apparently could. If history repeats itself, we could be reporting that they have been married any time now.
