David Beckham appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show, and if you’re not familiar with him, Jonathan Ross is basically a British Jay Leno with a dash of Willy Wonka.
Anyway, on the show, Beckham revealed he was recently forced to leave the field during his seven year-old son’s soccer match.
Beckham’s son Romeo was given a foul, and then David confronted the referee. The two then got into a heated verbal argument, before David received a red card and was kicked off the premises.
“The kids are seven years old and he sent the kid off,” Beckham said during the interview. “I was like, ‘come on, he’s seven, referee, you can’t send him off.’”
This entire story makes me wonder one thing: can you go to kids’ soccer games if you do not have kids? What about volunteering as a ref? Where else is David Beckham and how can I meet him?
Beckham appeared on the show to talk about his latest ad campaign for his new H&M bodywear line. Beckham then asked Jonathan Ross about his own underwear, before Ross tried to convince David to join in with him in giving everyone a little peak.
“I would, but my zip is stuck,” David said.
“I’ll pull ‘em down for ya,” Ross said.
David refused, but Ross held up his end of the bargain.
“If we’re going to sell underwear…” Ross said, before flashing Beckham.
“Not bad, actually,” David said, checking out the goods.
“Neither of us expected the evening to end quite that way,” Jonathan joked.
