Brooke Mueller Trying Outpatient Rehab to Stay With Kids

If at first you don’t succeed, try again. But after a million tries, if you still don’t succeed, maybe try outpatient rehab.

Brooke Mueller is intent on sobering up her act so she can be a decent mom to her children, and her latest attempt at sobriety is outpatient rehab.

She will undergo random drug testing, spend her days at a rehab facility and leave each day "under expert supervision 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week." It’s like elementary school, except your teacher comes home with you. And yells at you when you pick up the crack pipe.

Her rep, Steve Honig, says:

"Brooke has requested to be tested on a daily basis for cocaine and other illegal substances so there is no doubt as to her commitment."

Brooke was arrested for cocaine possession in Aspen on December 3rd, and she’s been in and out of inpatient rehab programs for years. Obviously, none of them have been effective. So Honig says Brooke wanted a different approach that will allow her to still be there for her kids with Charlie Sheen--Bob and Max. And now, she’ll have a supervisor present when she tries to smoke Max and drink Bob. Charlie Sheen’s house really is turning into Sober Valley Lodge.

Brooke currently has custody of her and Sheen’s children, and Charlie says he has no plans to try to fight for custody.

Over the weekend, Brooke was spotted at LAX Firing Range in Los Angeles. Oh, good.

Dressed in her best cowgirl gear, Brooke was handed a pistol before she hit up the range. According to Honig, Brooke “enjoys sport shooting, and has for some time.”

“She knows how to handle herself at a range and is a very careful and skilled sport shooter,” Honig adds.

After the firing range, Mueller headed to a West Hollywood nightclub, where she was photographed falling down and, according to witnesses, displaying “erratic behavior."

Uh, guys...that’s not erratic behavior, that’s her personality.

Brooke’s parents, along with Sheen, have been supportive during her recent troubles. Charlie, who reportedly pays her $55,000 a month in child support, said of her drug distribution charge:

“'With the child support I give her... she's gonna deal drugs? Never gonna happen.”

He added: “The cops in Aspen are Keystone on their finest day…these are the clowns that let [Ted] Bundy go.”

Wasn’t that like forty years ago?
