Nothing can stop state-of-the-art human bullet train Beyoncé, not even her fans—as in the mechanical, industrial kind that help her hair defy gravity 24/7 while performing. Besides her voice, it’s one of Beyoncé’s greatest SFX.
During a recent concert, she was in the middle of her ballad “Halo” when lo and behold, she got too close to an electric fan. It snagged her mane, but without missing a beat, she continued on with the song as her security team tried to free her from the clutches of the rogue fan’s blades.
Seriously, just play the video, close your eyes, and see if you can tell that she was in the throes of a near-death experience. You can’t.
Beyoncé referenced the incident on her Instagram page with revised “Halo” lyrics:
Beware, fans. Bey-ware.
