Amanda Bynes is making a last minute effort to be released from the confines of her psychiatric hold, this according to TMZ.
Amanda’s lawyer is filing legal documents, making an urgent plea that she be liberated from the psych ward she’s currently in, after a judge already extended her forced hospitalization another two weeks yesterday.
On top of the request, Amanda’s mother is officially filing this morning to seek a temporary conservatorship, this "emergency" hearing will take place soon after 2 p.m. PST.
The odds of that motion being allowed are slim, considering there's already a conservatorship hearing in place, set up for August 9.
The decision relies heavily on a one-on-one meeting between Amanda and the presiding judge, a court-appointed lawyer to interview Amanda and provide his/her own recommendation, testimony from Amanda’s doctors, and the police report regarding that driveway she tried to set on fire on Monday.
