What do you get when you combine the worlds of hip-hop and soccer… A lot of money, apparently.
50 Cent has recently come out with the statement that he wants to team up Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney. Their objective… A restaurant chain and a clothing line.
Sorry, no… As much as I would like to tell you that I’m kidding, I’m not.
The American rapper revealed his diabolical plans to take over the world with the European athlete in an interview with the Daily Star.
“I’ve met Wayne and he’s a great guy. He’s one of the top soccer players in the world and has a lot of years left in his career,” said Fiddy.
The “Outta Control” hitmaker explained that people happened to like “European soccer” and the options for profiting off that that love are endless. “Restaurants in Europe, clothing stores, nightclubs…”
Not to mention custom cook ware sets, self help books, their own brand of hot sauce, “Just a Little Bit” of flavor...
“Making millions is cool,” he said. “But making a billion is better, and Wayne knows it!”
Millions are cool, billions are better… It’s genius! Why hasn’t anyone else thought of this before?
Try as I might to make fun of the situation, there’s no denying the numbers. 50 Cent has a net worth of $250 million. Besides his rapping career, the entrepreneur founded G-Unit records and launched a clothing line under the same title. He’s been in several films, and he has a high stake in the “Formula 50” drink company, which is responsible for products like Vitamin Water and Smart Water.
He doesn’t seem too concerned as to whether or not Rooney will jump on board. According to Fiddy, the dollar signs in the soccer player’s eyes are just as big as his.
“I am all about making money and I know my man Wayne is as well,” he said.
