Zac Efron to Play Drug Smuggler in New Movie

So much for his squeaky-clean image! 'High School Musical' star Zac Efron is going to the dark side!

Zac will play a drug smuggler in Warner Bros.' upcoming film Snabba. He's even getting producer credits!

According to Popeater, 'Snabba,' based on the first installment of Jens Lapidus' 'Stockholm Noir Trilogy.' It be Efron's debut as a producer.

While Zac is busy gearing up to play a drug smuggler, his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens will be playing the HIV positive druggy stripper Mimi in the hit musical Rent.

Neil Patrick Harris will direct Hudgens in the controversial role that's a far cry from Disney! Boyfriend and girlfriend going to the dark side? This should be interesting!
