Hollywood's newest and cutest actor Zac Efron is about to get the boot from 'High School Musical.' Efron's character, Troy will take his own life in the upcoming “High School Musical 2.”
“As with many epic trilogies, we decided to go in a dark direction for the second installment,” said Disney Channel president Gary Marsh.
What did Efron have to say about it? “I’ll admit that I was shocked when I first read the script,” he said. “But I trust Kenny 100 percent and I’m confident this movie will be just as fun for our viewers as the first one while at the same time making them think about important issues like suicide, drug use, and gay statutory rape.”
Troy may be headed to the dark side, but Zac isn't going anywhere, I'm sure we're going to be seeing a lot more of this cutie on the big screen. He's so yummy, I have a schoolgirl crush on him.
Update: Pheww...that was a close one. It turns out these reports are false. Considering there's a "High School Musical 3" in the works, I'm sure they wouldn’t have killed off the high school heartthrob.
