Zac Efron: Dating Is Hard and Strange

Let’s get this out of the way first. Zac Efron is single. Ok ladies, you all have a fighting chance, whatever. And just like you, Zac Efron says dating is “kind of hard.” Oh my gosh, you have so much in common, why don’t you talk about it over sushi.

Zac appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday and of course Ellen asked him how someone as famous as he can find a normal relationship, not knowing if women actually like him or just want to use him for fame.

“You know, you always have to be careful, I guess, about that kind of thing," says Zac, "Every day is a new experience and I take it as it comes. Some people I worry about, some I really don't have to."

So then Ellen asks him where he’d take a girl on a first date.

“Like dinner or something like that? Dating is kind of hard. Like a forced awkward situation is very strange. Especially for me, for some reason. I like to go and do something adventurous. I like to go out and do some sort of crazy activity.”

So like mini-golf? Actually, Zac is off the high-octane “life threatening” kind of adventurous.

“I’ve never jumped out of a plane, that’s actually on my bucket list, actually do you want to go? He asks Ellen. Her response? “No.”

Oh and of course, you can’t get through a Zac Efron interview without asking him about his allusive new movie The Paperboy where he reportedly strips down with Nicole Kidman AND she pees on him.

"It was a sort of a intense dramatic moment for me. I was very prepared to give my all in a dramatic moment, and before I knew it, music started to turn up around me and she kind of looked at me and said, 'You want to dance?' And they're still rolling, so I couldn't really say, 'Cut!' And before I knew it, we were improvising an entire dance in the rain," Zac recalled. "It's one of my favorite scenes in the movie."
