American actor and singer Zac Efron was born on October 18, 1987 in San Luis Obispo, CA. He began acting in 2002, appearing on shows like ER, Firefly and The Guardian. Zac landed a regular role on the WB series Summerland.
Efron's big break came in 2006, when he starred in the Disney Channel original movie High School Musical and its subsequent sequel. High School Musical 3: Senior Year is scheduled for release in October 2008. Zac has been romantically involved with fellow High School Musical cast member Vanessa Anne Hudgens.
