This would be a role of a lifetime for Kevin Bacon. According to Deadline , he is in talks to play the villain in the upcoming X-Men: First Class.

Kevin has been in so many big movies including Mystic River, Frost/Nixon, but the one role we always remember him for is Footloose. Playing a villain would definitely be a different character than the happy musical.

X:Men is turning out to be a promising movie with its all-star cast including James McAvoy (Xavier), Caleb Landry Jones (Banshee), Alice Eve (Emma Frost), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), and Lucas Till (Havoc).

What do you guys think of Bacon playing the villain? You think he could pull it off?

"X-Men: First Class" will be in theaters on June 3, 2011.

Will.i.am Joins X-Men

Update on the X-Men Origins: Wolverine cast. Will.i.am is making his debut as an actor in the movie, joining previously mentioned Danny Huston, Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Liev Schreiber, and Ryan Reynolds.

Will.i.am, whose real name is William Adams, will play Wraith, a mutant with the power to turn himself translucent.
