X Factor

Britney Spears looks flawless, but that could just be thanks to the wonders of Instagram. Demi Lovato looks cute in her little top-knot bun. LA Reid is making a bizarre frowny face and Simon Cowell is leaning into Britney in a faux “we’re friendly” manner.

The show made its first audition stop in the Texas city on Thursday. Over 5,000 people showed up at the Erwin Center hoping for a shot at stardom, or simply for a shot at meeting Britney Spears.

Britney Spears has taken to Twitter to express more “super” excitement for her new job:
"So excited to be going to Austin this week for @TheXFactorUSA auditions! Will I see any of y'all there on Thurs or Fri?thexfactorusa.com"
We all watched the press conference announcing the new judges line-up. We soaked up the media frenzy regarding Simon Cowell’s decision making process.

Rumor has it that Mariah Carey, Katy Perry and even Nicki Minaj are in talks to join the judging panel of the X Factor.

With Abdul and Scherzinger gone all we’ve got left is Simon and LA Reid, aka just a couple of suits talking about which singer was or wasn’t “pitchy”. I liked it better with Abdul and Scherzinger because every week was a giant cry-fest and xanax party.

After speculation and rumors that the host of the The X Factor was getting axed, it’s finally true.
On his twitter page he writes, “I wont be hosting next seasons XFactor which is a shame but I cant complain as I’ve had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show.”
There was just something about Steve Jones that wasn’t Ryan Seacrest-y enough

However, The X Factor host (who crowned winner Melanie Amaro last night) says if he does get axed from the show, he’ll use it as an opportunity to ask out judge Nicole Scherzinger.

During part I of Wednesday night’s season finale, Melanie Amaro, Josh Krajcik and Chris Rene were the last three remaining contestants. But in the end there was only one man standing…or one woman. Crowd favorite Melanie Amaro was crowned the first winner of X-Factor, scoring a $5 million dollar recording contract.

Unlike Ryan Seacrest, who captured the hearts of America as host of American Idol, nobody really cares about X Factor host Steve Jones. Critics have slammed him as being "utterly irrelevant."
According to a source, "He got terrible reviews from critics when he started and things haven’t got better. There have been mistakes and he just doesn’t seem to have the knack for dealing with contestants."
