So it's safe to assume that Wyclef Jean isn't as popular in Haiti and he is here in the states.
He was shot in the hand after 11 p.m. in Delmas, Haiti on Saturday and had to be treated for his wound.
"I have confirmed from Wyclef that he was immediately taken to the hospital, treated for a minor graze to his hand and released," his spokesperson confirmed in a statement. "He is fine."
According to TMZ, Wyclef says he had just left his car, when he heard gunfire. He says the next thing he noticed he saw blood on his shirt and shoes. He has no idea if he was the target.
He was shot the night before the country's presidential runoff election, but apparently he's still committed.
"Wyclef's commitment to his native country and to his people is unparalleled," his rep adds. "He is therefore undeterred by this incident."
Glad to hear he’s doing fine!
