Wyclef Jean Hospitalized

Wyclef Jean had to be hospitalized last night in New Jersey due to exhaustion. According to reports, the singer checked himself in for exhaustion just days after he removed himself from the election in Haiti.

The news was confirmed on his Twitter, which read: “Information from an inside source has confirmed @wyclef has been hospitalized due to Stress and Fatigue.”

A source told Billboard, "He has been following a very heavy schedule that has taken him to Europe twice, Asia and Africa, at the same time he's working to finish his upcoming album and he has been meeting with a few head of States during the General Assembly Session at the U.N.”

When he feels better, Wyclef says he’s getting right back into the music game. The singer announced that his focus would turn instead to promoting a new album.

Probably a good choice…running for president of Haiti did seem a little far fetched. We hope he feels better!
