The United States had to hope for a win against Ghana and they also had to hope for Italy defeating the Czechs so the United States can advance to the Round of 16. But it seemed as if this goal will be nothing but a dream as the United States lost to Ghana 2:1.
The United States has been eliminated and is advancing out of group E, also known as “
the Group of Death”. Italy defeated the Czech Republic 2:0 and the underdogs of the group, Ghana. Ghana in the beginning of the World Cup came into the game looking at the toughest schedule, first against Italy then the Czechs and then the United States, but these brave guys gave it all they had and now they advance with a record of 2 wins and 1 loss. Congratulations to all the teams that are advancing to the Round of 16.
