Will Smith Rules Out Divorce

Hollywood marriages have a shelf life of about 1.5 years, so how have Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith managed to stay married for over a decade? Rule out divorce!

He explains, "Divorce can't be an option - it's really that simple. If you just remove the option... because, if you have the option, one day that person's gonna make you wanna divorce.

"That's been a huge part of the success for she (Pinkett Smith) and I... We're like, 'Listen, we're gonna be together one way or the other so might as well try and be happy."

Simple and to the point. Other celebs should take note!

I think what he said makes a lot of sense. Our society seems to be losing the whole sense of what marriage is all about. People get divorced too easily these days because they don't want to try to work things out and find that divorce is an easy way out for them. Another way for them to escape resposibility and commitment.

He does make sense. It seems couples today have one fight or get on the other's nerves and they run to divorce court. You should at least put a little effort into saving your marriage esp if kids are involved.

People who believe his comments were stupid, are stupid individuals that have never been through a divorce, and how devestating it can be. Will, speaking from experience, first watching his parents go thru a divorce and second, going thru the process with his first wife, was basicially saying "been there, done that" and I definitely do not want to experience it again. Instead of critizing, try to understand the message that is being said and learn from it.
