Scientology Still Trying For Will Smith

Oh noooooo! There have been rumors or Tom Cruise trying to convert his friends Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith to Scientology for some time now, but apparently it’s been kicked into high gear.

Radar magazine is claiming that the Church of Scientology, “has also set its sights on African Americans, opening up a center in Harlem in 2003 and making a strong play for Hollywood supercouple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett.”

Wil Smith continuously denies the fact that he is gonna convert to Scientology but close friends of his are saying that “He’s been getting more and more…And it isn’t just him, it’s definitely Jada, too.”

Don’t do it Will! Don’t do it! You will never be the same again! And they will just suck a lot of money out of you.

Epps, boycotting isn't necessarily "retarded" because people like Will Smith and Tom Cruise must surely know what the "church" leadership is doing. If Will Smith belonged to a club whose leadership blows up kindergartens and swindles seniors out of their pensions, and he joined knowing damn well that that was the case, would he be blameless? It is not retarded to boycott movies that pour money into the pockets of stars who support religions or social behavior that one is strongly opposed to. I don't see movies that star Tom Cruise or Kristy Alley and if Will Smith turns out to be a Scientologist then I won't see his movies.

Will Smith is already a Scientlogist and has been for quite some time. What we've been seeing recently are a series of trial balloons to gradually let that be known. But boycotting Will Smith movies just because of his religion is retarded. Individuals can't be held responsible for what the leaders of their church do. This is such a no-brainer for Smith. The cult is notorious for criminal behavior (Operation Snow White) and viciously attacking critics (Fair Game policy, Operation Freakout, the recent "outing" of protesters). And it's based on a "science of the mind" concocted by a non-scientist and totally not backed up by science. Smith's an idiot to even consider it.
