Whoopi Signs Deal With Discovery Channel

Whoopi Goldberg is going to be working overtime with her new job. She’s just signed a deal with the Discovery Network to develop a new series. Whoopie and her company Whoop Inc. will work with her production partner Tom Leonardis to have at least one new series broadcast by the network. She’s rumored to be starring in and narrating the show.

Whoopie says of her new venture, "Since I’m really curious about the world, what better place for Tom and me to exercise this interest than at Discovery?"

And the network couldn’t be happier to have her on board. Deborah Adler Myers, senior vice president of Discovery Emerging Networks said in a statement, "As the creative force behind Whoop Inc., Whoopi Goldberg is an entertainment powerhouse and we are delighted to partner with her on Science Channel and Investigation Discovery.
