Tom Cruise and Cher? Whoopi Goldberg and Ted Danson? Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent?

These are the most random couples, the WTF couples, the pairings that make you say "He's dating her?" and the couples that I bet you didn't know dated. Basically, these are some of the most surprising celebrity pairings.

Whoopi Goldberg and Ted Danson: Because of Whoopi Goldberg's penchant for wearing crocs and t-shirts that are about 100 sizes too large for her, I sometimes can't remember what team she plays for, but she likes men and one of her most bizarre boyfriends was when she dated Ted Danson in the early 1990's. Whoopi was actually the "other woman" because Danson was married when they met on the set of "Made in America." People were saying "whoops" when Whoopi caused Danson to divorce his wife.

Ryan Gosling and Sandra Bullock: Before Sandra Bullock was making headlines for maybe dating Ryan Reynolds several months ago, people don't remember that she dated Ryan Gosling back in 2001. Gosling was 22 and Bullock was 38 when they started dating after they met on the set of "Murder By Numbers." Sandra's friend Hugh Grant thought their pairing was so random that he referred to 16-years-younger Ryan Gosling as "The Child" and would make a sound of a baby crying whenever he came around. Obviously Cougar-Cub relationships have come and gone, but Ryan HOT Gosling and Sandra Bullock, is this not weird to anyone else?!
On Monday’s episode of The View Barbara Walters dropped the N-Word, and no, she wasn’t singing a Dr. Dre song.

Whoopi Goldberg opened up the conversation about the controversial word when discussing it being used at one of Rick Perry’s properties. Apparently, Perry was part of a hunting club, and one of their properties was named after the N-Word.

“When the candidate, Herman Cain, talked about how radically insensitive it was, he didn’t use ‘The N-Word’, which is I guess what we’re supposed to be saying now,” Whoopi explained. “I just use the word,” she said, after saying it in front of the audience, who cringed a bit.

“I find it so interesting that you did [just use the word], Barbara Walters chimed in, throwing around the N-word a few times to describe the situation.
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!
Some of our favorite stars spent years studying the art of acting—educating themselves onstage to perfect their craft. But for a select few, they got a break and decided to get the hell out of high school as fast as possible.

Most high school dropouts don't have much luck at finding a stable career path, but the entertainment industry is a totally different thing. It's a gamble, but if you get lucky, you can have a million dollar career with only a sixth grade education.

Here are 10 celebrity dropouts. But don't get delusional kids—stay in school.

Tracy Morgan: Why doesn't this surprise me? Tracy Morgan is funny, but part of his whole shtick is sounding dumb. "I'm glad I dropped out of high school, man. I wouldn’t be where I’m at. I would have had a net. I’m glad I didn’t have anything to fall back on, man, because that made me go for my dreams that much harder.”

Kate Winslet brought home an Emmy last night, making her one step closer reaching EGOT status. For those unfamiliar with the term, no, it’s not a Star Wars character, it’s a coveted Hollywood title for those who’ve won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. Impossible? Nope.

A ton of celebs have managed to sweep all four awards, and if she can win a Tony, Kate Winslet just may be the next. “Wait, Kate Winslet has a Grammy?” Oh, yeah. In 2000, Kate took home an award for Best Spoken Word Album for Children, for “Listen To the Storyteller.” Yes, that’s a category.

It will be no surprise when Kate reaches the coveted status of EGOT actress, and here are five other celebs she’ll join.

Audrey Hepburn: Every gal goes through her Audrey Hepburn phase, and it’s no wonder. Not only was she fashionable and beautiful, Audrey was talented enough to join the EGOT club. She won an Oscar for Roman Holiday in 1954 and got a Tony for best actress in the play ...

It's hard to believe The View has been on for more than ten years. And while we love Whoopi Goldberg's farting and Elisabeth Hasselback's isolating conservative outlook amongst her peers, I remember the good old days with the original cast.

The chemistry was there and they each had distinct personalities. The View was the perfect career launcher, and while only Joy Behar and Barbara Walters remain, Joy has had plenty of outside success, too.

So what's the latest on the rest of the OGs?
It was bound to happen. They’ve finally run out of stuff to talk about on The View and the show has resorted to a Whoopi Goldberg fart parade.

I love Whoopi as much as the next person who remembers Ghost, but she’s a little too open about her digestive and urinary problems for my taste.

To be fair, Dr. Oz was the show’s guest, and he asked everyone in the cast and audience if they’d passed gas since the show started...

It’s that time of year again, when potheads can do what they’re going to do anyway: smoke weed.

Bongs, pipes, papers—it’s a full on marijuana frenzy, especially if you’re living in California, where pot smoking is practically legal.

You know all that smog in Los Angeles- That's actually bong smoke. And there must be a lot of people with Glaucoma out here, because it’s gotten so commonplace, celebs no longer seem to care who knows whether they toke up.

So to celebrate National Pot Day, we’re singling out our favorite celebrity potheads. You can view our extensive list after the jump!

Whoopi Goldberg admits she was so nervous for her Best Supporting Actress nomination in 1991, she got really stoned right before the big show. Guess she set the trend for James Franco.

Whoopi won the Oscar that night for her role as Oda Mae Brown in 'Ghost', but admits she smoked some pot in the hope of "relaxing herself."

She said: "I learned a great lesson though. Never smoke pot before there's the possibility of having to talk to one hundred million people. Smoking cigarettes and pot every now and then are one thing that relaxes me and I thought, 'I've got to relax.’

"So I smoked this joint that was the last of my home grown and honey, when he said my name and I popped up, I was like, 'Oh f**k, oh f**k, up the stairs one two three four five, onto the podium. There's millions of people, OK grab the statue.’ I knew I should have never had done it."

As soon as she opened her mouth her mother knew she was high and boy did she get a lecture after! "My mother called me afterwards and said, 'You smoked didn't you? Your eyes were just glistening.’ So I panicked and got the Oscars tape to see whether you could tell and you just couldn't. I know you're not supposed to admit that you smoke pot but I don't drink alcohol!"

HA! Gotta love her for her honesty, check out her acceptance speech HERE and you be the judge--can you tell she's high as a kite?
Note to self: don't piss off the women of The View.

Bill O'Reilly was a special guest star on the talk show on Thursday and during a conversation about the proposed Islamic cultural center near Ground Zero things got so heated that Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar walked off the set!

According to the Huffington Post, O'Reilly said President Obama's qualified support of the center was evidence of the "gulf" between him and the American people. Whoopi and Joy strongly disagreed.

"This is America!" Joy said.

"Listen to me because you'll learn!" O'Reilly rudely interrupted her, which stunned the audience. Whoopi and Joy eventually walked off the set and Barbara Walters had to turn to the audience and say "This should not have happened."

Check out the heated debate and you tell us whose side you're on...

Just days after Whoopi Goldberg's mother suffered from a severe stroke, she's passed away.

Whoopi pulled out of the London production of Sister Act after her mom, Emma, suffered a stroke on the August 27th, and she announced today on The View that two days after the stroke, she lost her mother.

“My mom passed on the 29th of August,” Whoopi said. “She was one of the best people I think I’ve had the privilege of knowing. I don’t think she quite realized how many lives she touched. She was an extraordinary woman.

“And really, my brother and I were very, very lucky to have her in our lives. And so, I’m not sad because she had a great time…

She added, “I think I’m just sad sometimes because I think who will love me the way that she did? But I realized that my brother and I have each other so we’re okay.”

So sad! Our condolences to Whoopi and her family.
