Whitney Houston's death, while shocking, is reportedly set to be ruled an accident. But according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office, some sources are claiming Whitney was murdered.
According to TMZ, the LA County Coroner's Office has been receiving several calls and emails requesting that the singer's death be investigated as a murder. Some of those calls are from people who claim to be Whitney's relatives. One caller claimed they had information to support the theory.
TMZ says that the people in question are claiming to be either relatives of Whitney or relatives of her ex-husband Bobby Brown. One caller allegedly said they had a theory about a relative who might have been involved in Whitney's death. However, the person in question reportedly offered no information supporting this claim.
The Cororner's Office has not verified that the people contacting them are relatives to Houston, and an official declined comment as the investigation is ongoing.
TMZ reported: "The Coroner has already said there was no sign of foul play or trauma, but the official cause of death won't be determined until toxicology results are in."
Whitney's former sister-in-law and Bobby Brown's sister, Leolah Brown, told 'Access Hollywood': "I believe Whitney's death was not accidental."
Meanwhile, Oprah landed the first interview with Whitney Houston's family, including Whitney's daughter, Bobbi Kristina. The interview will air Sunday on the OWN network, and a promo clip for the interview shows Oprah and Bobbi Kristina embracing in a hug.
"The world lost an icon, they lost a mother and sister," the talk show queen says in the trailer.
