Bobby Brown flew to Los Angeles after hearing that his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, was hospitalized following the news of her mother's death.
When Whitney Houston died on Saturday, Bobbi Kristina was rushed to the hospital following what was called an "emotional breakdown." And while Brown has released a statement on his daughter's state, the Houston family is reportedly trying to keep him away from Bobbi Kristina.
TMZ is reporting that Cissy Houston, Whitney's mom, is trying to block Bobby from seeing his 18 year-old daughter, because she believes he's trying to get at Houston's fortune. This is according to family sources.
TMZ says: "The family is convinced ... Bobby is broke, and he's making a play for his daughter's affection to latch on to what could be an estate worth around $20 million, and that figure could double by the end of this year."
Earlier this week, it was rumored that Bobby tried to visit his daughter but was denied by the Houston family. Friends of Houston's family have allegedly told the singer he's not invited to the funeral or in Bobbi Kristina's life.
Whitney's family believes that Bobby Brown was the main factor that led to Whitney's issues with substance abuse. People from Bobby's camp say that he's very aware of the family's problems with him but wants to try to get over them for the sake of his daughter.
Meanwhile, it's being reported that Whitney's funeral will be streamed online. The Associated Press reports that the service at New Hope Baptist Church will be broadcast by the wire service, and from there, it will be offered to broadcasters to air on television.
