There are still so many questions surrounding Whitney Houston’s shocking death, but new details seem to emerge every few hours.
Here is what we know so far: Whitney was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton and pronounced dead at 3:55pm on Saturday.
According to TMZ, her stylist, hairdresser and two bodyguards were among the people in the room at the time. Apparently her hairdresser became worried about Whitney because she had been in the bathroom for over an hour and it was time to start getting ready for the Clive Davis party.
When she walked into the bathroom she screamed prompting the rest of her camp to run in. Whitney’s head was underwater and her legs were up, like she became unconscious and slipped down under water.
The hotel called ambulance but unfortunately, they weren’t able to revive her. When Bev Hills police arrived, they found various prescription drugs in the room, including Xanax, but that’s the extent of what we know drug wise so far.
Sources close to Whitney say she would often take Xanax before a big show. She was set to perform at the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party last night.
The night before her death hotel staff spotted her with a big group of friends drinking heavily. And on Thursday night she was also out partying at Tru Hollywood. The mixture of the alcohol and the Xanax could have caused severe sedation, like falling asleep while taking a bath.
There’s an emergency autopsy scheduled for today, Sunday.
