Whitney Houston allegedly told friends and family she was ready to “see Jesus” before her death. Turns out it might have been less a psychic premonition and more a health concern. Because two weeks before she was found dead in her Beverly Hilton hotel room, Whitney reportedly failed a routine medical exam.
According to RadarOnline.com, the pop singer sought to have a facelift, performed by a renowned Beverly Hills plastic surgeon.
Dr. Mac Mani, a board certified plastic surgeon, refused to perform the procedure on Houston after she failed the medical clearance exam. The exam reportedly tests the patient’s heart, lungs and liver, according to a source. The source added: "She was concerned about her appearance and wanted a facelift.”
Dr. Mani refused to confirm whether Houston was his patient, citing federal medical privacy laws.
Meanwhile, despite reports that Bobby Brown is not invited to Houston’s funeral, family members are saying Bobby has indeed received an invite.
"He is not being banned. That's completely untrue," a family source tells People.
After Brown attends the funeral, he will take off to perform with New Edition at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena.
Reports surfaced today that among the attendees at Whitney’s funeral will be Clive Davis, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Oprah Winfrey and Kevin Costner.
"Kevin always supported her and, like many of her friends, they may have lost touch, but they were always friendly," a family friend revealed to People.
Costner will reportedly be speaking at the funeral. He and Whitney starred in her hit movie, ‘The Bodyguard.’
