Ray J Breaks His Silence On Whitney Houston's Death

Whitney Houston’s on/off boyfriend has remained relatively silent since the singer’s death. But the singer has finally released a statement on his legendary love interest.

“Over the past few days, I’ve tried to process the emptiness that I am experiencing,” Ray J said. “What my heart feels cannot be expressed in words. The world lost an icon, but I lost my close friend.”

He continued: “Nippy, I miss you so much! You were so happy and full of love. Your smile will in my heart forever.”

Whitney’s funeral service invitation was released today, and the ceremony, dubbed a “home going” ceremony instead of a funeral, will take place Saturday. The singer’s body will be buried in New Jersey on Sunday.

At Tru nightclub on February 9, Houston was spotted taking back shots of tequila and drinking champagne with her daughter, Bobbi Kristina. ‘X-Factor’ star Stacy Francis claims that during the party, Whitney had a jealous outburst aimed at her when she saw Francis talking to Ray J.

“I turned to look at her and she pushed my forehead and turned my face away. I grabbed her hand and said, 'Please don't do this. You're everything to me. You're my idol, you're a legend.'”

Both Stacy and Whitney performed at the club for a tribute concert to Etta James. Ironically, two days later, Whitney tragically passed away.

When Ray J learned of Houston's death on that Saturday, he "rushed over" to the Beverly Hilton Hotel and "spent the night comforting Bobbi Kristina," an insider revealed. "He's absolutely devastated."
