Whitney Houston’s long-time manager and the man responsible for nearly every career in the music industry, Clive Davis, has just come out of the closet.
Is it really that shocking that someone is gay? No. But when an 80-year-old comes out of the closet, after they lived through Woodstock and the entire sexual revolution, it’s surprising he’s coming out NOW.
However, Clive insists that he is bisexual as he had two marriages to women for the first half of his life. He was quick to share that both his marriages were real, and were NOT just to cover up his sexuality.
“For over 50 years, I never had sex with a male,” Clive revealed in a "Nightline" interview, “It wasn’t repressed – I had a very good sexual relationship with women. Never for me – this very maligned and misunderstood subject of bisexuality came up. I’m not lying. Bisexuality exists.”
At the end of his second marriage in 1985, Clive began a 13-year relationship with a male doctor and for the past seven years, he’s been involved with another man, whom he did not name to protect his partner’s identity. To read his full interview check out GLAAD's website.
