Today Whitney Houston would have celebrated her 49th birthday and in honor of the late Diva’s birthday, her daughter Bobbi Kristina and her boyfriend/fiancé/adopted brother/live-in life partner Nick Gordon have both gotten matching Whitney Houston tattoos.

The ink features Whitney’s initials engraved on Bobbi’s forearm surrounded by an outlines of doves. Bobbi has been tweeting all week, trying to get Whitney’s birthday trending on Twitter. She shouldn’t have much of a problem, Whitney is loved by all.
The last film Whitney made before she passed away, “Sparkle,” opens on August 17 and the films star Jordin Sparks tells us what it was like working with the legend.
“The majority of the film, it was Whitney Houston when I first met her, it was Whit throughout the movie,” Sparks told Hollyscoop, “But when she sung in the church, it was Miss Whitney Houston, because you understood, you held your breath, you were getting to witness a legend at work.”
Fellow star Tika Sumpter told Hollyscoop that Whitney was “protective, but loving, and accessible and super open to us. She just wanted us to shine as much as possible.”
“She called us her babies,” says Sparks.
Adding to Whitney’s legacy is a new book out called “The Whitney I Knew” written by Whitney’s friend Bebe Winans who was given the Houston family blessing to write this biographical book.
According to the author it’s a “personal book that touches on her publicized demons, but focuses on the girl from New Jersey who liked to dress in jeans and T-shirts and was as quick to provoke a squabble with a patron at a movie theater as she was to quietly aid friends burdened with financial troubles.”
