Autopsy Reveals Whitney Houston Died of Overdose, Not Drowning
While we all suspected that Whitney Houston died of an overdose, the autopsy has confirmed that it was indeed a combination of drug and alcohol overdose that killed Whitney and not that she drowned in the bathtub.

Whitney was discovered underwater in the bathtub of the Beverly Hilton, so many assumed she had passed out and then drowned, however according to TMZ, the Coroner’s officials told her family that there was not enough water in her lungs to conclude that she had drowned.

Whitney has had a long and difficult past with drug addiction, but officials have suspected that it was her combination of Xanax and other sedative prescription drugs with alcohol that killed her.

Usually Whitney would take a Xanax before every performance to calm her nerves, but it was the deadly combination of the drug with alcohol and other drugs like Lorazepam and Valium that ended her life.

The officials believe she died before her head became submerged underwater. The true results will be revealed when the toxicology reports are finished in 4-6 weeks.

Another detail that is being confirmed is that it was actually Whitney’s aunt, Mary Jones who discovered Whitney’s body in the bathtub and NOT Whitney’s hairstylist as was previously reported.

When Whitney didn’t come out of the bathroom, Mary entered and proceeded to perform CPR on Whitney.

Now that the autopsy is complete, Whitney’s family is flying her body back out to Atlanta for the funeral.
