What To Watch On TV: Monday Edition

February 25, 2008 By:

The Raisin in the Sun @ 8pm

Watch P Diddy's acting debut!! The revival of Lorraine Hansberry's excellent 1959 play created a sensation on Broadway in 2004, and it's easy to see why in this first-rate 2008 adaptation for TV. Tony winners Phylicia Rashad and Audra McDonald, Tony nominee Sanaa Lathan and Sean (P Diddy) Combs all reprise their roles here, and the stage production's director, Kenny Leon, makes a fine film debut. The film tells the story of a black family's struggle for a better life on Chicago's South Side in the 1950s, but it's just as moving, entertaining and relevant today.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles @ 9pm

In this lead-up to the two-hour season finale, Sarah breaks into Ellison's apartment to lift the endo-arm the agent discovered. Once inside, she comes across a tape of her former psychiatrist, Dr. Silverman, that provides even further evidence of her and John's predicament. Meanwhile, Cameron takes a ballet class hoping that it will help her track down the Turk. But can she even be trusted? Brian Austin Green's mysterious stranger certainly doesn't think so.

New Adventures of Old Christine @ 9:30pm

You just know that klutzy, clueless Christine is going to do something stupid to spoil her relationship with the handsome Mr. Harris (Blair Underwood). If anyone was ever her own worst enemy, it's good old Christine. Tonight, she promises to accompany Mr. Harris to an important function, but she leaves him hanging when Ritchie's soccer game runs longer than she anticipated. Hate to say it, but that's our girl.

The Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious @ 9pm

Who knows what really happened to last season's winner of new PCD member Asia...she supposedly decided to go solo into her unknown career. Seems highly unlikely considering the PCD would give her the exposure to even have a successful career. My guess is Robin booted her to the side, considering PCD head Nicole Sherzinger's solo career has yet to take off and be truly successful. With Asia, there would have been one too many kitties on the squad for anyone to really care for. Hopefully this season's Girlicious will have some better luck. Tonight, the ladies get a lesson in building confidence and receive a visit from JC Chasez. The judges eliminate another candidate.
