What to Watch on TV: Tuesday
FRINGE @ 8PM
With a dyn-o-mite resumé that includes Alias and Lost, it's no surprise that executive producer J.J. Abrams' latest offering has generated the most buzz this season. Living up to it, of course, is another matter, but it gets off to an eerily captivating start tonight when everyone aboard a transatlantic flight meets the same gruesome fate. It may be the first investigation for an unlikely trio of a scrappy FBI agent (Anna Torv), an incarcerated scientist (Walter Bishop) and his estranged son (Joshua Jackson), but if Abrams' track record for mind games, unexplained phenomena and conspiracy theories is any indication, it certainly won't be the last.

FASHION ROCKS @ 9PM
Sexy models, top performers and funky fashions are the focus of the fifth annual event at Radio City Music Hall that kicks off Fashion Week in New York City. Denis Leary hosts the hot-ticket concert, which features a star-studded lineup that includes Beyoncé, Black Eyed Peas, Chris Brown, Mariah Carey, Duffy, Fergie, Kid Rock, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Keith Urban.

PRIVILEGED @ 9PM
In the opener of a series about a live-in tutor to wealthy and rebellious Palm Beach, Fla., teens, Megan (JoAnna Garcia) is hired by cosmetics-company head Laurel Limoges (Anne Archer), meets her new charges (Lucy Hale, Ashley Newbrough) and begins to enjoy the perks of her new position---including a private suite and a handsome neighbor (Brian Hallisay).

THE RACHEL ZOE PROJECT @ 11PM
Bravo's passion for fashion (Project Runway, Make Me a Supermodel, Tim Gunn's Guide to Style) continues with this new real-world show documenting the life of celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe. The series generally tracks the fashionista guiding the style of stars, runway shows and magazine shoots while trying to expand her business. In tonight's opener, Rachel searches for the quintessential red-carpet gown for actress Joy Bryant. Meanwhile, there are posse problems when Rachel's associate frowns on a new overly zealous assistant.
