What To Watch
December 10, 2008

In tonight's episode DUB magazine cofounder Myles Kovacs and his wife, Cynthia, go undercover in the Watts section of Los Angeles to work with community members, befriend those in need and decide which of the people they meet should be given the gift of a lifetime.
Make sure to check out Secret Millionaire tonight on at 8/7 central on Fox. For more info and trailers, you can check out their official site at www.fox.com/secretmillionaire.
December 5, 2008

Paul Michael Glaser guest stars on tonight's explosive episode, which focuses on the bombing of a charity organization's headquarters. The investigation uncovers troubling aspects of the highly influential but controversial group and leads Don to probe into its far-reaching power base.
Greatest Holiday Moments: TV & Film Countdown @ 8 pm
It's no secret that holiday-themed programming is everywhere. But only a select few movies and specials have the staying power and instant heartwarming ability of the TV and film moments featured in tonight's countdown. Sure to make the list are classics like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and It's a Wonderful Life, and more recent favorites like Home Alone and A Christmas Story.
Dog Whisperer @ 8 pm
Cesar Milan heads to Sin City to help three Cirque du Soleil acrobats whose discipline at work fails to translate at home when handling their problem pooches: a Maltese that plays dead when put on a leash, an American Eskimo that hates strangers and a tolling retriever that's petrified of pools. With the dog guru's help, these talented circus performers hope to become the ringleaders of their beloved pets.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars @ 9 pm
The "sheroes" of the Star Wars universe take center stage tonight as Ahsoka and Jedi Master Luminara have the unenviable task of escorting Nute Gunray to trial. Their journey is anything but safe as the unwitting duo is targeted by Count Dooku's apprentice, Asajj Ventress, who's been ordered to free the prisoner...at all costs.
December 4, 2008

'Tis the season for Babs' annual Top 10 countdown (her 16th) of her most "fascinating" notables. As always, the No. 1 selection remains a secret, but we'd be really surprised if it's anybody other than a certain Illinois politician. As for the others, they range from celebs Miley Cyrus and Will Smith to Olympic megamedalist Michael Phelps, pregnant guy Thomas Beatie, radio talker Rush Limbaugh and a certain Alaska governor who knows how to dress a moose (and Tina Fey, who plays her on TV).
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation @ 9 pm
Tonight's intriguing episode is populated with some old-school Hollywood brass, including Tippi Hedren, Robert Guillaume, Ralph Waite and producer George Schlatter. The hour examines the hunger for fame in two time periods: present day Las Vegas and the fading Jim Crow-era of the 1950s. An investigation gets underway when a popular singer is killed outside of an infamous Las Vegas nightclub. Soon, the murder is connected to a case from over 50 years ago.
Grey's Anatomy @ 9 pm
Now that November sweeps are over, let's see if Denny Duquette can go back to being dead. He hasn't done Izzie much good in his latest incarnation, and Alex — if he knew what has been going on — might want to kill him all over again. Meanwhile, what's up with Cristina and Owen? Perhaps we'll find out tonight. And Sadie (Melissa George) certainly has made her presence felt. Last time it was that appendectomy catastrophe, and now she might just be hitting on Callie.
Sarah Silverman Program @ 10:30 pm
If Sarah vanished from Earth, or at least the public eye, tomorrow, her legacy as one funny gal — albeit a lazy, self-absorbed and irresponsible one — would be certified. But in the interest of crafting a more well-rounded renown, she strives to coin a word, "ozay," that will be forevermore part of the lexicon of slang. Unfortunately, Sarah has far less success than Brian does with his submission, "dot-nose."
December 1, 2008

Chuck's out of luck and pluck. Not only is his bizarro relationship with CIA ravisher Sarah still overly complicated, but Jill — his college sweetie and longtime love — turned out to be a spy. Chuck, still stung from that personal betrayal, keeps busy tonight, using spy work as a coping mechanism. Casey's also reeling (and we thought he lacked a heart) as he discovers his mentor (Carl Lumbly) has become a rogue agent. Meanwhile, Awesome's parents (Bruce Boxleitner, Morgan Fairchild) pay a visit. And we get more at Buy More: The efficiency expert (Tony Hale) works to reestablish the "employee of the month" contest.
Gossip Girl @ 8pm
Romance is in the air at the annual Snowflake Ball...but on Gossip Girl, romance is always complicated. Since Chuck and Blair are currently just friends, they try to find the ideal date for one another — and because they're Chuck and Blair, they make a bet out of it. Meanwhile, Aaron's ex-girlfriend is interested in Dan, and this bothers Aaron's present girlfriend (aka Dan's ex-girlfriend), Serena. Then there's Jenny, Nate and Vanessa, three points of a potentially messy love triangle.
Prison Break @ 9pm
This series is sort of like the myth of Sisyphus: push that rock up to the top of the hill and... you know what happens next. So now it's Self who has Scylla, and the full extent of his treachery becomes clears in tonight's bloody episode. In fact, if you can keep track of who's stabbing who in the back (and why), you just might be as smart as Michael. It also might be wise to keep in mind the No. 1 rule of diplomacy: Alliances shift but self-interest doesn't.
Boston Legal @ 10pm
Tonight's episode is on drugs. Now that doesn't mean this show's trademark frivolity is chemically induced. Rather, it's just that Denny's Alzheimer's prognosis gets a whole lot worse, and Alan appears before the Massachusetts Supreme Court to plead for his friend's access to an experimental medicine. In addition, Jerry and Katie help a girl whose acceptance to Harvard was rescinded after it's revealed she took nootropics, aka brain enhancers, for her SATs.
November 10, 2008

This show often attracts top music acts, especially for their episodes in which Peyton stages concerts. Tonight she organizes a USO show with headliners Angels and Airwaves and Kate Voegele (reprising her role as Mia). Haley is set to perform as well, except she's hit with a case of stage fright. Off stage, Lucas tries to come to terms with Peyton and Julian's romantic past, while Millicent confronts Mouth about his relationship with Gigi.
Gossip Girl @ 8pm
It's almost like it's the 1980s all over again when Cyndi Lauper and The Princess Bride star Wallace Shawn appear in tonight's episode! Lauper appears as herself (it turns out Blair is a fan), and Shawn appears as Eleanor's new beau, Cyrus Rose. (Blair's not a fan of his, so she tries to break them up.) Elsewhere, Jenny moves in with Agnes, and Dan starts hanging around the Bass family in order to get dirt on Bart and write an exposé on him. Way to get on Chuck's bad side yet again, Dan.
Chuck @ 8pm
Chuck confronts the "ex factor" tonight. Jordana Brewster begins a multi-episode guest-star stint as Jill, Chuck's former flame and college sweetie, a beauty who broke his heart and derailed his life. Chuck runs into her by chance and, of course, embellishes his status in life to impress her. But Chuck quickly springs into spy mode upon discovering that her research-scientist boss may be involved in the development of a bioweapon. Meanwhile, Buy More's efficiency expert (Tony Hale) enforces a mandatory CPR course, conducted by none other than Captain Awesome himself.
Heroes @ 9pm
Arthur Petrelli has certainly been busy over the past few weeks: building an army, wreaking havoc with his sons, ordering murders, etc. But what led him to his current mission? Tonight we find out as Hiro takes a look into the past and discovers what drove the Petrelli patriarch down the dark path leading to Pinehurst.
November 7, 2008

Most of the time on this show, we witness ordinary folks (Joe the Singer?) trying their best to remember enough words from a handful of songs to walk away with some cash. But how about when these folks have sold millions of albums? We'll find out tonight how much fame, fortune and almost 20 years of experience count when acclaimed R&B quartet En Vogue reunites to sing for charity.
Sanctuary @ 10pm
Magnus and Co. take animal magnetism to a whole new level when two furry critters called nubbins are added to the menagerie. Not only do the cute newcomers multiply like rabbits on fertility drugs, they also cause the team to express unspoken attractions for each other. Fortunately (or not), nothing short-circuits awkwardness quite like a crisis, which the nubbins handily provide by escaping from their cages.
This Weekend:
True Blood @ 9pm Sunday
Only three more episodes till this season is wrapped...don't miss the conslusion. Sam tells Sookie a secret when he's caught in a difficult position; Jason and Amy plot their next move with Eddie; Arlene and Rene have their engagement party at Merlotte's; and Bill goes on trial for his recent offense.
Entourage @ 10pm Sunday
Vince is unnerved by stern advice from Verner (Stellan Skarsgård), the demanding director of "Smokejumpers." Meanwhile, Eric is dismayed to learn that Seth Green is on the short list for Charlie's pilot, and Andrew receives a makeover from Ari and Lloyd.
November 4, 2008

Today is a day every American can and should be proud. It's an affirmation of one of the Constitution's "blessings of liberty" - the ability of "we the people" to select our leaders in a peaceful, if not always orderly, manner. Katie Couric anchors the coverage on CBS, while Charles Gibson does the same on ABC, Jim Lehrer on PBS, Shepard Smith on FOX and Brian Williams on NBC. On the cable-news nets, Wolf Blitzer acts as ringmaster on CNN, while David Gregory moors MSNBC and Brit Hume mans Fox News.
90210 @ 8pm
Annie and Dixon have opposite reactions to Harry's news about the son he put up for adoption years ago. An angry Annie lets loose at a sleepover that quickly turns into a drunken house party, while Dixon doesn't seem to be affected by the bombshell. Elsewhere, Ryan and Kimberly are caught giving in to their mutual attraction.
Privileged @ 9pm
Kathy Najimy guest stars as Patricia Kingston, a prominent publicist who meets with Sage when the ambitious beauty is determined to get her modeling career going. But Kingston has a surprise for the would-be cover girl. Sage is also busy elsewhere - prying into Megan's personal business. She discovers Megan's notes about a biography of Laurel and sends them to Laurel, who likes the idea. Megan is thrilled - until she learns that Laurel wants a ghostwriter. Ouch
The Shield @ 10pm
Only four episodes to go, and while you know that Vic has four episodes' worth of fight left in him, Ronnie might not now that Claudette has made it her mission to bring Vic down. Will Ronnie cut a deal? Split for Mexico? Do something else? Time will tell, but tonight's focus is on Corinne and Mara. Meanwhile, Vic's Aceveda-Pezuela-ICE juggling act is even tougher now that Beltran is in the mix. Vic can juggle all those balls in his head; on the street is another matter.
October 27, 2008

Willa Holland stirred up trouble as Marissa's little sister on The O.C., and now she's arrived to do the same thing on Gossip Girl as Agnes, a young model who befriends Jenny. Just as things seem to be on track for Little J, Agnes convinces her to tap into her wild side and have some fun, and she also motivates her to stand up to Eleanor at work. Meanwhile, Serena meets a new guy, an artist named Aaron Rose, and the two of them click instantly. As for Chuck and Blair: Like he told her last week, now it's time for her to chase him.
Heroes @ 9pm
Last week's episode left several characters in perilous positions as Nathan and Tracy were captured by a much-changed Suresh, and Peter's reunion with his dear old dad left him trapped and — even worse — stripped of his powers. Needless to say, Mamma Petrelli is not pleased by Peter's abduction and asks Sylar to go after his brother. In guest-star news, Kristen Bell returns tonight as the electrifying Elle.
Samantha Who? @ 9:30pm
It's good news and bad news for Sam in this episode. The good news: a clinical trial for a new medication enables her to regain some memory fragments. The bad news: what she remembers is what a cast-iron beeyatch she was. Meanwhile, Andrea is insulted when she and Dena are mistaken for a lesbian couple. It's not that she takes being thought gay as a slur. She just insists she could have a much hotter partner if she were.
Raising the bar @ 10pm
The overly familiar courtroom drama's freshman season begins winding down (the finale airs next week) with idealistic public defender Jerry Kellerman going full court: He defends an HIV-positive man leveled with attempted murder charges for spitting at a police officer. Making matters worse is Jerry's legal opponent, an overbearing, self-important DA from the Major Crimes Unit. And here comes da judge: Judge Kessler invites Charlie along for a trip to Italy.
October 24, 2008

Bella reconnects with an unsettled surfer dude she once dated, and she pleasantly discovers that he has matured and has goals beyond a life on the beach. Will this one work out? By the looks of it, no way! He is sure to be a freak of some kind. But the real mystery is who and what will Tommy bring to Bella's love life. That cat storyline has to be for a good reason!
Life @ 10pm
Zen is in and are you in for a shake, rattle and roll tonight! A massive earthquake sends the city into total chaos setting a killer free, they thought they put away. Crews and Reese track an escaped criminal after an earthquake strikes Los Angeles. Elsewhere, Ted is injured in the quake.
Numbers @ 10pm
Last week, Don discovered that Charlie now works for the LAPD as a consultant. Don also told Agent McGowan (the steely Keith Carradine) that he will leave the Bureau if Charlie isn't reissued a security clearance. That probably wouldn't upset McGowan too much since he seems to loathe Don, which will make his decision all the more interesting when he hands it down tonight. Meanwhile, Don assists a veteran FBI agent (Henry Winkler) track an elusive con man who has evaded capture for years.
Starter Wife @ 10pm
After spending last week's episode in hiding, Molly finds that her fortunes take a different — and somewhat suspicious — turn. The scheming Eve sets up a meeting between Molly and her agent husband, who is interested in Molly's work and insight into Hollywood. But is it too good to be true? Elsewhere, Joan pursues her interest in David Shea, despite the objections of her friends.
October 23, 2008

It came as a surprise that Daniel's paternal instincts weren't all that bad, but now that his parental tenure is over, he can get back to what he knows best: Tomcattin' around. Tonight, however, it's another source of wonder that he opts for a matchmaker, rather than his default reputation as a playboy, to find companionship. Meanwhile, Betty worked overtime last week to patch things up with Gio, and now she's turning a page in her rivalry with Kimmie (Lindsay Lohan) by helping her find a job.
Grey's Anatomy @ 9pm
The Hot Docs may make "medical history" (as the promo for tonight's episode puts it) in the ORs, but in the loooove department things are sputtering, as usual. Last week, George's thoughtlessness toward Lexie was jaw-dropping. Maybe she should take a hint, but it doesn't seem as though she will. And Ellis Grey's diary opened a hint of a wedge between Mer and Der. Don't expect tonight's fallout from last season's brain-tumor study to close it. Also, Callie needs sex advice. Who better to go to than Sloan?
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation @ 9pm
Jorja Fox departed the series yet again last week, but her vacancy creates room for a new series regular. That would be The L Word's Lauren Lee Smith, who plays Riley Adams, a nonconformist CSI who is also a bit of a flirt. As for tonight's investigation, the team probes a series of bizarre deaths in which the victims are found frozen in place, some standing upright, doing ordinary activities. Bizarre. But then bizarre is normal on CSI.
Hip Hop Awards '08 (BET) @ 8pm
Katt Williams takes the reigns once again as host of BET's third annual celebration of hip hop. Leading the pack of nominees are Lil Wayne with 12 nods, Kanye West with seven and Jay-Z with six. Russell Simmons receives the night's big honor — the "I Am Hip Hop" Icon Award — and joins the ranks of previous honorees Grandmaster Flash and KRS-One. And since the night's all about music, the performances are abundant. Common, Lil Wayne, Ludacris and N.E.R.D. are among the scheduled acts.
