There’s nothing television needs more right now than a show about a man who marries a women that looks like a flight attendant and gets his kids to hook up with each other. Wait, that’s not what “The Brady Bunch” is about?
Whatever, “The Brady Bunch” is getting a reboot on CBS and Vince Vaughn is co-developing and executive producing it.
Sounds like a great opportunity for Ashton Kutcher to play the hot son.
The original “The Brady Bunch” was on television from 1969-1974 and featured Mike Brady as a widowed architect with three sons who marries a woman with three daughters. Pretty simple concept.
The new show is reportedly centered around grown up Bobby Brady who is newly divorced with kids and remarried to a woman who also has kids and together they have a child of their own and their ex-spouses are still involved in their lives. Divorce would never have made it to television in 1969.
Vaughn thought the show would be a good idea, so he teamed up with “Raising Hope” and “My Name Is Earl” scribe Mike Mariano to pen the “Brady” script.
In related news, Vince Vaughn is back to work acting in a new R-Rated comedy called “The Internship” where he and Owen Wilson play two dudes who lose their jobs and become interns at Google. Hilarity ensues.
“We get free food, we get to play ping pong and take naps…We find a way to get into the intern program and try to get a job there. It’s fun to go back and do some R-rated comedies again,” Vaughn told the Huffington Post.
If that's the case, we can't wait to see what he has in store for the Brady family!
