Vince Vaughn is practically still smoking his congratulatory cigar since welcoming his daughter, Locklyn Kyla Vaughn, into the world. Vaughn’s little girl was born in December of 2010, only a month before his last movie, The Dilemma was released.
Hollyscoop caught up with Vaughn at the 10th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball to ask him how he’s enjoying fatherhood.
“Things are good. Yeah, I can’t complain,” Vaughn told us.
After a high-profile breakup with Jennifer Aniston in 2006, Vaughn seems to have remained relatively under the radar. In 2009, he announced his engagement to a Canadian realtor, Kyla Weber. The couple married less than a year later, and less than a year after that, had their first child.
The wedding was a modest ceremony that took place in Vaughn’s hometown of Lake Forest, Illinois.
We asked Vaughn how he manages to stay out of the public eye these days.
“Everyone's got their way of doing stuff, but some people like to be out there more than I do,” He told Hollyscoop. “That's fine, it's kind of whatever you decide to do, I guess."
The Chrysalis Butterfly Ball is a benefit for Chrysalis, a non-profit organization that assists people out of a life of homelessness and poverty. The event was co-founded by actress Rebecca Gayheart, who has helped to raise over $7 million for the charity.
Gayheart says she was “really searching for a charity where I could get involved in a hands-on way.”
Other celebrities that attended the event were Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck, Ryan Phillippe, and Olivia Wilde.
