After massive backlash for his “little too fat” remark about Adele, Karl offers up a very “Lagerfeld-style” apology. Meaning, he never actually says the words “I’m Sorry.” The oddball designer decided to definitely address the fact that what he said was mean; but he’s not taking it back. Instead he says it was taken out of context. "I'd like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer. Sometimes when you take a sentence out of the article, it changes the meaning of the thought." He goes on to say he loves Adele and she is his favorite singer. He also gives a sympathetic story about how he used to be bigger and lost 30 pounds; so he knows how mean the press can be. So what have we learned from Karl? Don’t make fat comments about Adele... unless your prepared to follow it up with some major compliments!
