The 2012 Grammy Awards last night were sprinkled with moments dedicated to Whitney, but there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Hudson belted out Whitney’s classic. The 30-year-old singer performed a sweet and simple rendition of the classic song “I Will Always Love You.” She did a tremendous job that would undoubtedly make Whitney proud. It was announced on Saturday night, shortly after Whitney’s death, that Jennifer and Chaka Khan would perform a last minute tribute performance during the Grammys. But an hour before the show, Khan bowed out, tweeting: “As I grieve the loss of my friend and “little sister,” I don’t feel it appropriate to perform at this time.” Jennifer‘s performance followed an In Memoriam segment that honored such talents as Amy Winehouse, Clarence Clemons, and Steve Jobs.
