After Gerard Butler’s quiet stay in rehab, it seems he’s up to more than just partying at The Vanity Fair Oscars bash--he’s going back to work! Gerard Butler has signed on for the diamond-heist thriller “Brilliant.” The 42-year-old Scottish actor replaces Eric Bana, who was previously in talks for the lead role. Gerard has worked with the director before on his film “The Ugly Truth.” This new movie is about “a small-time criminal who partners with a female thief to pull off a daring diamond heist,” The producers are still searching for the female lead. When talking about his rehab stay for pain management and cocaine use, Gerard says: "This was maybe one of the few times that the reports were not exaggerated. They waves just took me and I couldn't get up." But Gerard says now that he’s out, he feels pretty good and says “I don’t think I look too bad!” We don’t think he looks bad either, and we’re so glad he’s getting back to work!
