Deadmau5 and David Guetta Give a Dance Music Tribute At The 2012 Grammys
It’s official, dance music has surpassed just being the trendy go-to music genre for cool people. Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and the Foo Fighters will perform mashups with Deadmau5 and David Guetta at the 2012 Grammy Awards. This special segment spotlighting dance/electro music will be the first of it’s kind ever on the show! Congrats to dance music! You’re now accepted and fully embraced by the Recording Academy! It’s about time! During the awards show, the five artists will perform in a tent outside the Staples Center in front of a crowd of 1,000 fans. So the point is to spotlight electro dance music, then why aren’t they just featuring dance artists...or at least highlighting more than two? And why aren’t they performing on the actual stage? Maybe the segregation still exists a little in the music industry?
