Newlyweds Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo just dropped $2.85 million on a home in Encino, California, located in the San Fernando Valley.
Listen, I know that's a lot of money. But for celebs, that's basically chump change. I mean, the Kardashians probably use million dollar bills to jot down their to-do lists. So either stars are getting more frugal, or the housing market is still sucking bigtime. I'm gonna go with sucking bigtime.
Vanessa and Nick are getting a ton of house for their money, too. At 8,000 square feet, the Spanish-style estate boasts six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. That's plenty of baby-makin' room!

According to Star, Bondoc lives in a small trailer park and hasn't seen her daughter since she was nine. She had no idea Minnillo was even getting married, and when she was shown a picture of her daughter, Bondoc replied, "Oh my goodness, she's beautiful!"
There's about a 60% chance that this is just some random, crazy woman they found living in a trailer in the desert.

Lachey’s not-so-soon-to-be wife, Vanessa Minnillo, told Hollyscoop: “We haven’t thought of anything—any dates, any places—anything.”
Similarly, Simpson also recently told Women’s Wear Daily, “No date has been set. We’ve both been married before. We’re enjoying our commitment to each other. We want to take our time.”
Translate: We’re waiting until the thunder-stealing Royal Wedding is over.
Actually, Simpson says she might opt to forgo all the mayhem that is planning a wedding:
“We might elope if it gets to that point,” she says.
It's been almost five months since the engagement, and with nothing planned that might be the best bet.
With both couples crawling to the altar, who knows who’ll get there first? Let’s just hope neither decides to star in a reality show about being newly married. I have this weird feeling that wouldn’t go over so well.
And despite the fact that most of the stuff on clearance at Macy's has her name on it, Jessica has had a lot of success with her clothing line, so she’ll be designing her own wedding gown.
When HS asked Minnillo if she’s thought about her dress, she told us, “of course I have, I’m a woman,” but refused to give details with Lachey standing next to her.
Something tells me she won’t be going with a Jessica Simpson original.
