The Vampire Diaries” is gearing up for their fourth season, which means fan gossip is at an all time high for the show.

Cast members gathered at this weekend’s Comic Con in San Diego to talk and tease what was coming up in the series. Despite their tight-lipped approach, the actors did manage to spill some details about what to expect.

Nina Dobrev, whose character Elena was immortalized in the season three finale of the show, talked about the transition from human to vampire between season gaps. For Dobrev, it’s all about tapping into her true inner vampire.

“My biggest challenge as a vampire next season will be figuring out how to be completely different from the previous character,” she said. “I don't think I will go through a physical transformation.”

Paul Wesley, who got to share the screen with his wife Torrey DeVitto throughout season three, promises that they both will be returning next season. He enjoyed the process of bringing his relationship on set, saying that it was “great working together.”

But Wesley’s dream guest star for the show would be fellow Italian, Monica Bellucci.

“Oh me and my wife totally dig Monica Belluci!!” he said. “It would be cool to have her as like a vampire goddess."

Not to mention sexy…

But for fellow co-stars Michael Trevino and Ian Somerhalder, Kevin Bacon would be a good fit.

“We have been bumping into [Kevin Bacon] everywhere we would love him on the show -- talk about six degrees of Kevin Bacon…” said Somerhalder.

Oh, and one last thing… Can we expect a “TVD” movie in the future? Trevino seems to think so.

“We wouldn't be opposed to it, especially if it was filmed in Paris or Tahiti,” he said.

Filming for season four of “The Vampire Diaries” has already begun. The season premiere airs October 11… Have you started counting down yet?
