Five days after Usher’s stepson was critically injured in a tragic jet skiing accident, his family is asking for help through the healing power of prayer.
Kyle Glover’s family said in a statement to CNN, “We know God's in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time. We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it's the best way we can all support him now."
On Friday, 11-year-old Kyle was struck in the head by a passing jet ski as he and another girl were inner tubing on Lake Lanier in Georgia.
He was immediately taken to the hospital in critical condition. On Sunday, doctors declared him brain dead.
The 15-year-old girl also suffered injuries including a gash in her head and a broken arm.
Kyle is the son of Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond, and the couple are currently involved in a heated divorce, battling over their two children, ages 3 and 4.
Despite their differences, Usher has been nothing but supportive of Tameka during this tragedy and spent time with Kyle at the hospital on Saturday.
Everyone involved in Kyle’s life is understandably devastated, we wish them all peace in this terrible time.
